Vinod Ramaswamy (born 17 February 2000) is an Indian entrepreneur and investor. He is the Founder and CEO of Vinking Group, a ₹400 crore enterprise operating across digital services, refurbished retail, finance, and farming.
Born in Karimangalam, Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu and raised in Bangalore, Vinod’s journey is one of self-made success built from personal loss. He lost both parents at a young age, an experience that shaped his resilience, independence, and vision to uplift others through business.
Early Life & Career Beginnings
Vinod was educated at Janaseva Vidyakendra Boys Residential School, and briefly attended Jain College before dropping out to start his first venture. From small beginnings — designing websites, selling t-shirts (under “VII NII”), and freelance digital work — he began laying the foundation for Vinking Group.
His early companies like Web Raj and Rajammal Consultancy gave him practical experience, even though they didn’t succeed financially.
COVID Crisis & Comeback
In 2019, the group crossed the $10,000 milestone, and Vinod chose to donate over 70% of company revenue to charitable causes, especially education for underprivileged students.
This generosity, though noble, left the company financially vulnerable when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. The business nearly collapsed — vendors withdrew, clients froze, and cash flow dried up.
But Vinod refused to give up.
By pivoting operations, restructuring teams, and returning to grassroots strategy, he rebuilt Vinking Group from the ground up, reaching ₹400 crore turnover by FY 2024–25. His comeback became one of the group’s most defining moments.

After brief success in stock trading, Vinod launched Vinking Broking, which evolved into Vinking Group in 2017.
